Make a list of the 5 most appealing benefits of your product
or service. These should be emotionally appealing to your
target market. Here's an example. Let's say you are promoting
a manual that teaches you how to triple your investments in the
stock market.
Your benefits list may look like this:
* teaches you how to triple your money
* learn how to read stock quotes
* best time to sale your investments
* where to find the best deals
* 250 pages of tips
Or your benefits list could look like this:
* Turn your $100 bills into $1000 bills within a few months.
* Discover how stock quotes can put money in your pockets
* How to sell your investments and make big profits
* Learn how to find the best deals like the pros
* You'll make more money with this book than you've ever imagined
Notice how the second list appeals to your reader emotions. Trigger
their emotions and you'll force them to response to your ad.
So what are Emotions anyway? Well Webster's definition goes
something likes this.." Disturb, psychic and physical reaction
subjectively experienced as strong feeling and physiologically
involving changes that prepare the body for immediate vigorous
"Action". Man, that says it all!
Now, use the emotionally appealing benefits list and create your ad and
ad copy directly from the words used in the list. You've just created
an "Ad That Will Pull Like Crazy".
If you need a little help putting together those emotional words in your
benefits list, then here's a comprehensive list that you can refer to
from time to time. This list will help you substitute technical words
for emotional words in your ads and advertising materials. Just click

Do your ads reap with color, excitement, and just plain mentally
wear down your reader? If not, than maybe that's why your
advertising needs a little dose of Multimedia Brilliance.
Every since the emergence of the WWW (World Wide Web) the Internet
has been transformed into multimedia brilliance. Sound, color and
video has us all demanding even more. When you logon to the WWW you
are bombarded with this multimedia explosion that just tugs at your
emotions like magnets. No more black and white thinking. If you are
going to succeed then you must begin to design your advertising
campaigns to appeal to this new media.
Emotions, that the new sheriff in town these days. Learn how to
simulate the emotions of your target market and you can force
them to buy whatever you are selling! Here are a few tips that will
start you in that direction.
So what are Emotions anyway? Well Webster's definition goes
something likes this.." Disturb, psychic and physical reaction
subjectively experienced as strong feeling and physiologically
involving changes that prepare the body for immediate vigorous
"Action". Man, that says it all!
If you are in the business of selling than emotions are your best
friend. Stimulate the emotions and you will create an immediate
"Vigorous action". Now isn't that just what the doctor ordered. Just
like the ad samples at the beginning of this article you must learn
how to use words to create a mental picture in the mind of your
audience.
But first you must be able to create a mental picture in
everything that you do as an Internet marketer. Look at your
product or service though the eyes of your target market. Now what
do you see? What is it that you can say about your product or
service that will create a mental picture in the minds of your
prospects.
Maybe it is time that you take a another look at your web page and
classified ads. Inject them with "trigger words" that produces
emotional reactions. Use power words and expressions that best
represent the mental pictures that will get your point across in the
minds of your web site visitors and classified ad readers.
Force them to "see" in the minds eye the benefit that your product
or service has to offer them. Motivate them with the four great
motivators of today, Fear, Guilt, Greed and Exclusivity.
Fear is the most potent. Tell them what they will lose out on if they
don't buy your product or service. Inject them with failure, not being
accepted, being taken advantage of, or missing an opportunity. This
approach will certainly trigger their emotions and create an emotional
reaction. Then when you've got them down on their knees sulking in
their emotions, let them know that you have the answer to their fears!
Then all you have to do is lead them to your order page!
Hopefully I have triggered a new outlook for you in this article.
Stop thinking in black and white. Look at your product or service with
new eyes. Use words, expressions, and multimedia effects that will
trigger the emotions of your prospect and customers. Remember the
definition of emotions and use it to create multimedia brilliance in
your advertising campaigns.

word "YOU". Good attention-getter. If placed in business type
publication, should get good responses.
2. Ad Copy First Line (rating 5)
Contains power benefit "FREE information". Forces reader to want
to read more. Good flow from the headline.
3. Benefits Statement (rating 4)
Should include a least one benefit to me that this Free report
will reveal. The "Guaranteed Results" is a real kicker for me.
4. Call To Action Statement (rating 5)
Good link with a statement to click on this link "Now".
5. Power Words Used (rating 5)
Excellent use of power words. INSTANT,PROVEN,YOU,GUARANTEED
FREE,DISCOVER,SCARED,SECRET.
Total Rating Ad#1 - 24 points (KILLER AD STATUS!)

Headline is short and sweet. Contains two great emotional power
words "Bubbling Brew". Makes your mouth water!
2. Ad Copy First Line (rating 5)
"Healthful and Simulating" are also powerful emotional words that
flow well from the headline. Makes me want to read more.
3. Benefits Statement (rating 3)
Great benefits for me in the headline and first line of copy.
Second line of ad is a little weak. The word "lowdown" could be
substituted for a stronger word or statement.
4. Call to Action Statement (rating 2)
No real call to action statement. Could use something like:
"Discover how to get your Cup Of Tea Today!"
5. Power Words Used (rating 2)
I only count 3 power words used. More importantly the most powerful
word "YOU" was not used at all.
Total Rating Ad#2 - 17 points (Almost There)
Send in your ratings of these ads in the same format that I used in
ads above. Let's help each other out here. Your opinions are important
to our subscribers. We can all write Killer ads if everyone participates.
There is no other place where you can get your ads rated by real folks

Great to see your newsletter! I do have a suggestion which
you should take a quick look at before the next issue.
The subject is your links. The way you do them now with the <>
brackets and the "href=" is just fine for your subscribers at aol;
but, I have to copy and paste them to my browser window to go to
the suggested location.The links are not hot in my E-Mail window.
I usually start the Outlook program to hook up to the web and it
automatically downloads my mail. Then I use a link to open the
browser and continue reading while the first page loads. Now,
if your links are not capable of opening my browser, then I
continue reading mail until I get to a link that will do so. I may
or may not get back to your newsletter that session; and, as a
result, I may not have my browser open when I return to your piece.
