I've tried to provide you with workable information that will help you write ads and ad copy that produce results. Let me know what you think about the format, content or resource web pages. One of the areas that I haven't covered yet in this newsletter is ad testing. Testing your ads is probably the most important aspect of creating ads that really meet the KILLER category. Your major goal in your quest to earn a substantial income marketing on the net should be to uncover that one Killer Ad that will produce mega responses time and time again. You can create great ads just by following the techniques that have been included in each issue of this newsletter. However, In order to transform a great ad into a Killer ad you must constantly test your ad and ad copy. Testing is an on-going process, which requires a site that you can always go to and quickly place your ads to a targeted audience and get immediate feedback. I ran across such a site this week. The site is owned and operated by Joe Bellshaw. He's a three year internet marketing veteran who has created a great site called the Online Classified Club. This site contains all of the resources that are required to put your ad in front of literally millions of prospects quickly. It really meets all of the requirements for a good ad testing site. I'm not going to get into all of the details here but I would highly recommend it for testing your ads. Your best bet: stick to sterile saline solutions formulated for the job. ----------- >>This Issues Ad Tip<< The "Mystery" Headline Your ad headline will make or break your advertising campaign. If it doesn't grab the attention of your reader than your ad will never get read. Why not try to create a little "mystery" in your headline. People are attracted by mystery. After all, the main purpose of your headline is to attract attention. Here's a mystery headline example: "This message will solve your Greatest problem." Now, I'll bet that this will stop them in their tracks. The reader has to be mystified after reading this headline. Here are the rules to follow when using this type of headline. 1. Make the mystery believable. If it is totally unbelievable than it will fall out of the realm of mystery and into the realm of "unbelievability". 2. Don't solve the mystery completely in your ad. Never solve the mystery if you want a response. It's the mystery that gets them hooked and responding. So why not give it a try. People love mysteries. Emotional words and phrases will make your ads speak to the inner being of your readers. Trigger their emotions and force them to react. Webster's definition of emotions goes something likes this.. "Disturb, psychic and physical reaction subjectively experienced as strong feeling and physiologically involving changes that prepare the body for immediate vigorous "Action". Action is the key word here. If you can force your reader to act, then you've accomplished your goal with your ad. Always use words and phrases in each part of your ad that will trigger the reader's emotions. Colorful words and phrases that paint a mental picture within the mind of your reader. Here are a few examples of what I am taking about. This product could make you beautiful again. Or This product could transform you into a stunning beauty. Now notice the word *make* and the word *transform*. Make is an intellectual word. Transform is an emotional word that paints a picture in the mind of your reader. Also notice how *stunning beauty* sparks your imagination and *beautiful* just leaves you uninterested. I challenge you to take the first step. Or I dare you to take the first step. Challenge or dare which is the most powerful word. Which word really creates a reaction within you? How about the word Nude? Naked is a much more powerful word. Words can be magic when used correctly. Learning how to substitute emotional words for technical words can increase your response rates though the roof. Comments: Needs a lot of work IMHO. No real headline. "FINALLY" was a good catch word but no *meat* after. Ad does not tell me what's in it for *me*. No power or action words used. ********************************************************************* Ad#2 - Overall Rating 19.0 (Great Ad) Comments: I liked it. Great Headline. The phrase *This Week* caught my attention. Good first line of ad copy. The word *Easy* keeps me reading. The last few lines could be combined within the body of the ad. Could be re-phrased: "Discover How You Can Have Your Ad Blasted To 4000 site FREE!" Great call to action statements. ********************************************************************* Ad#3 - Overall Rating 19.6 (Almost A Killer Ad) Comments: Good Headline however, could be re-phrased "6 FREE iPhones To Give Away, You Keep One!" Good first line of ad copy. Next Line of copy is a little vague.
